Proverbs 3:27
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so.

Proverbs 3:30
Do not strive with a man without cause,
If he has done you no harm.

This just struck me as talking about our family's. It really got me thinking; perhaps it might stir you up too.

Learning to Love

          Last night I was cleaning up a mess after Grandpa in the bathroom and I learned something. Usually Grandma does it but she was eating and I didn't want to disturb her. Paper towls in hand wiping the floor I learned a lesson about love.

Mothers and Daughters

I love the beautiful expression in Psalm 144:12 describing covenant daughters in a culture blessed by God: "that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace." What a wonderful way to think of our daughters!

To my Mother,

Mom, sometimes I may not understand you

but I do notice the things you do.

You are a helper Dad, do the hard work that we can't

Like;

research, getting our school scheduals together,

and working on life issues.

My name is Dr. Kevin Kikta, and I was one of two emergency room doctors who were on duty at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO on Sunday, May 22, 2011.
